Sign On Bonus is 2 cent on the dispatched miles. Bonus is paid weekly and available only during the driver's first year of employment.
Hornady Transportation is located in Monroeville, Alabama and has been in business since 1928. We are a flatbed company hauling building materials as well as steel coils, poles and pipe. We operate east of the Rockies and do not run into Canada or Mexico. Although we do dispatch into New York City, accepting this dispatch is your choice. All loads destined to the 5 boroughs are on a voluntary basis. If you decide to go you will pick up an extra $50. All other dispatch is forced.
At Hornady our goal is to get you good home time, miles and money! System 1 drivers are home most weekends with a 24 to 36 hours home time. If you want to run more miles, our System 2 fleet will get you home every 10 to 14 days with a 36-48 hr home time. Our focus is to help our drivers in the System fleet average at least $50,000 yearly.
We continue to upgrade our fleet with new power and trailers. Our newest trucks are KW T-660 and International 9200 series with air-ride suspensions. Qualcomm communications are included for your convenience and safety. Our units also have PrePass with EasyPass so scales stops are limited.
We provide a full line of benefits which include Blue Cross Blue Shield Health insurance, Prescription Drug Card, Dental, Vision, free Life insurance and Short-term Disability. We have a 401(k) Retirement plan that offers matching funds. To help you realize more income weekly while reducing your tax liability, a voluntary Per Diem program is available. Other benefits such as vacation and holiday pay are available.
Hornady also offers Lease Purchase opportunities. Working towards ownership of a tractor involves no down payment or balloon payment. The entrepreneurs in the Lease Purchase program enjoy home time and freight of their choice. Compensation is 70% of Gross Revenue plus 100% of fuel surcharges. Lease Purchase Contractors are paid weekly by direct deposit or through Comdata without holdbacks for paperwork.
